The History program in the School of Humanities seeks a visiting instructor or assistant teaching professor for the 2021-2022 academic year. The successful candidate will teach four courses per semester in both face to face and online formats. These include the World Civilizations surveys, US history surveys, and other courses in the area of specialization. The position begins Fall 2021.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Teach four courses per semester.

Hold regular office hours and respond to student emails in a timely manner.

Submit grades on time and carry out all other duties connected to teaching.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

A Master’s degree in History to be hired as an Instructor or a PhD in History to be hired as an Assistant Teaching Professor. Ability to teach both World and US History.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience using Canvas

Prior teaching experience at the university level
