Position Description:

The Department of Sociology seeks applications for a lecturer in Sociology for the spring 2022 semester. The appointment is expected to begin on January 1, 2022. Lecturerships may be part-time or full-time depending on curricular needs. Duties include teaching undergraduate elective courses and tutorials. Areas of specialization are open. We especially welcome applications from candidates able to teach in one or more of the following areas: ethnic studies; social movements; media; science and technology; biosociology and health; family; gender and sexuality; networks; sports; and inequality.
The position is for one semester with a possibility of renewal.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate in Sociology by expected start date of January 1, 2022.

Additional Qualifications:

Demonstrated strong commitment to teaching is desired.
