The Department of Political Science at Boston University seeks to hire a tenure-track Assistant Professor specializing in quantitative methods and research design. The ideal candidate would use and be able to teach advanced quantitative methods to research pressing questions in American Politics, Comparative Politics, or International Relations. The ideal candidate is prepared to teach graduate-level methods courses, such as Maximum Likelihood Estimation, Natural Language Processing, or Network Analysis, as well as undergraduate courses in research design and data science. The candidate would be able to make connections across campus including at BU’s Hariri Institute for Computing. The anticipated start day is 1 July 2022. The successful candidate will hold a PhD at the start of the appointment. The holder of this position will teach undergraduates and graduate students.
