Data Analytics Manager (Data Science) in Istanbul, Turkey

In this position, you will primarily harness data science to lay the foundational framework and sustain our strategic vision throughout the System and will act as the Product Owner for our Volume & Revenue (NSR) reporting system within the EME OU, you will collaborate tightly with Finance Team, Bottling Partners and Global Product Owner. This partnership involves gathering business requirements, trialing new features, and refining the system to better align with organizational needs.

Your expertise in data structures, algorithms, along with an expertise in machine learning and predictive modeling, will be crucial in leveraging data to inform and drive business decisions.

Your goal will be to champion the implementation of global solutions and standards, ensuring they remain flexible enough for local adaptation to maximize value and facilitate widespread adoption.

Engagement with our bottler partners forms the heart of this role, ensuring seamless data integration into the global data lake and upholding the principles of data sharing. This aspect of your work is critical in fostering strong partnerships and securing the successful ingestion and utilization of data across the System.

While your focus will be directed towards data science responsibilities, a solid grounding in data engineering will be considered a significant advantage. The ability to design, construct, and nurture data systems complements your primary role, enabling a more in-depth contribution to our data-driven strategy. This capability supports your deep data science knowledge, allowing you to create a robust infrastructure that ensures data availability and integrity for analytics applications.

The position will report into the Data & Analytics Director and will be a member of Eurasia & Middle East OU Digital Services Team under Data & Technology Services.

What You’ll Do for Us:

• The focus of the role is the data and advanced analytics solutions that enable the Coca-Cola System (Company and Bottlers) to make fact-based decisions and drive actions in the market together

• You will work directly with the OU (Franchise & Finance & Strategy) + Bottlers Systems and other operating unit Platform services data & analytics teams

• You will partner with bottlers, Franchise and other OU members on projects that require Company/Bottler data & analytical partnership

• You will lead the deployment of syndicated data across the system ensuring that the data is fully exploited by the business – ensuring that users are trained and active engagement with the user base (stakeholder management, user communities etc.) to meet adoption and value creation goals

• You will lead the development and deployment of advanced analytics solutions of entire data & analytics team by leveraging all types of data in the EME OU

• You will be the SME in the shared (bottler/company) analytical capabilities within the OU, and actively engage in the global network to share and gain learnings that benefit the OU and total System

• You will oversee the foundational Cross system data enablement with our bottlers, through a relevant stakeholder approach, from NSR Data Lake foundation to joint data sets management and insights

• You will be the SME on the Net Sale Revenue & Execution data collection methodology and usage, ensuring the data is accurate and fit for use, partnering with Data Governance Team to identify and fix quality issues

• You will act as a product owner for our NSR (Net Sale Revenue) sales reporting system – including gathering business requirements, liaising with the stakeholders, and testing new features

• Be an active advocate for data & analytics-based decision making across the system.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.

• 6-8 years of experience in Data Science; experience in the FMCG sector is a significant advantage.

Functional Skills:

• Strong proficiency in statistical analysis, machine learning, data mining, and predictive modeling.

• Hands-on experience with Python and related libraries for data processing and manipulation tasks.

• Knowledge of R or other statistical software can be a plus.

• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, structures, theories, and principles.

• Proven experience with SQL, including the creation and optimization of SQL stored procedures, views, and functions.

• Experience and proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI or similar for creating reports and visualizations.

• Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and related Azure services: Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Azure Storage. An Azure certification is highly beneficial.

• Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining data ingestion pipelines using Synapse pipelines to ensure high-quality data delivery.

• Proficiency in developing and maintaining ETL processes to support various business areas and systems.

• Good understanding of GitHub actions for version control and experience with CI/CD pipelines for multi-environment applications.

• Proven experience in consuming third-party APIs and building robust and efficient scripts to facilitate data exchange.

• Strong leadership skills including business problem definition and priority setting.

• Aptitude for communicating insights and collaborating across teams and organizations.

• A mindset of an entrepreneurial thinker and self-starter, displaying proactive thinking.

• Passion for learning/developing and bringing in emerging trends/technology that drive further insight value.

• Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in data science and analytics, such as AI/ML, Gen AI, data lakes, and big data platform
