The Kentucky New Era is seeking an editor to build on its legacy of print excellence while helping guide the ongoing digital transformation. This is a hands-on position, where the editor leads by example while guiding a news reporter, a sports reporter and building a stable of correspondents. The editor also oversees the weekly Cadiz Record and the free distribution The Eagle Post. Hopkinsville and Christian County are home to a growing manufacturing
base, a thriving agricultural sector and Fort Campbell Army Post. Nashville is a little over an hour to the southeast and Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area is just 45 minutes to the west. The New Era prints three days a week with a website that’s updated daily. It is part of a regional group with five other newspapers where content is shared and cross-paper collaboration is growing. Hopkinsville and Christian County are home to a growing manufacturing base, a thriving agricultural sector and the Fort Campbell Army Post. The papers are owned by Paxton Media Group, a family-owned enterprise with newspapers from Arkansas to Michigan and North Carolina to Florida.
