Position description

Are you passionate about European audiovisual policy, independent film production, and EU public affairs? Join the European Producers Club (EPC) as a trainee and gain hands-on experience at the intersection of policy, advocacy, and film industry development.

You’ll be part of a small, dynamic, and committed team based in Brussels and Paris, actively contributing to the monitoring of European policy, industry developments, and the organisation’s advocacy and communication work. This is a unique opportunity to gain practical insight into how EU legislation and audiovisual initiatives impact the European production landscape.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Monitor developments in copyright, AI, media, and audiovisual policy and funding programmes with a focus on legislation relevant to independent producers;
  • Track activity within EU institutions (Commission, Parliament, Council) and relevant Member States;
  • Support EPC’s communication strategy, including social media monitoring and content analysis (LinkedIn, Instagram, facebook, etc.);
  • Attend and report on conferences, working groups, and industry events (online and in-person);
  • Assist in organising EPC meetings, workshops, and international industry events;
  • Contribute to internal tasks such as website updates, database maintenance, and drafting internal briefs.

 

Qualifications

  • Master’s student in European affairs, political science, media & communication, cultural policy, or a related field;
  • Strong interest in audiovisual policy, EU legislation, independent film and TV production, and the creative sectors;
  • Solid understanding of the European institutions and policy-making process;
  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken); other EU languages are an asset;
  • Proactive, autonomous, well-organised, and comfortable working in a small, international team;
  • Communication skills and familiarity with tools such as Canva, basic video editing, or CMS are a plus;
  • Able to work independently, remotely and meet deadlines.
