Schedule: 12-hour shifts with rotating days, 7pm-7am
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Material Handler to operate a sit-down, gas-powered forklift to move materials around our warehouse. This role involves working 12-hour shifts with rotating days and requires the ability to perform tasks such as sitting, bending, and using controls throughout the shift. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience operating a sit-down forklift and possess strong communication skills to ensure smooth operations within the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a sit-down, gas-powered forklift to move materials around the warehouse.
- Perform tasks that involve continual sitting, bending, and using controls.
- Ensure materials are handled safely and efficiently, following all safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of materials moved and report any issues or discrepancies.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and address any concerns.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed to support overall operations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a sit-down forklift.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Capability to handle physical tasks, including sitting, bending, and operating controls for extended periods.
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
