Position Details
The Department of Sociology, in the College of Social Sciences, Mathematics and Education at The University of Tampa, invites applications for a full time, 9-month renewable position as non-tenure track Assistant Teaching Professor starting August 2022.
Areas of specialty are open but must be related to Applied or Clinical Sociology as our Sociology program is nationally accredited through CAPACS. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate how they would contribute to our concentration in Applied Sociology. Candidates should also provide evidence of teaching effectiveness. Preference may be given to applicants with an ability to teach Research Methods or Statistics/Data Analysis. Responsibilities include teaching four 4-credit hour courses per semester, along with a commensurate amount of service. Faculty members have the opportunity to teach in summer and January or May intersession courses for additional compensation.

Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates who have completed a Ph.D. in Sociology. The successful candidate must have a strong desire to teach Introduction to Sociology and other core undergraduate courses.
