Our research group employs quantitative methods to study institutions, laws, public policy, and political behavior. The research of the Center for Law & Economics focuses on empirical analysis of the law and legal systems using techniques from applied microeconometrics, natural language processing, and machine learning.
Job description
We offer the opportunity to work on important topics of law and economics and empirical political economy in a dynamic and collaborative research environment. The initial appointment will be for one year with expected renewal for three more years. Salary is competitive and paid according to ETH standards .
Your profile
The ideal candidate will have, at the time of appointment, completed a Master’s degree in Economics or Political Science, with a strong focus on Statistics or Econometrics. Rigorous statistics training in causal inference and machine learning, and a strong command of Stata and Python, are desired. All work-related interactions are in English and excellent English writing skills are essential.
