Journalism – JM (Neil Swidey)
The Journalism Program at Brandeis University seeks an instructor for JOUR 132B “International Reporting and the Global Media,” a four-credit course to be offered during the Spring 2022 semester. This course explores the evolution of reporting on international affairs and other cultures for an American audience – and the cultural, economic, technological, political and tactical factors that influence that coverage. The seminar course will be taught in person on the Brandeis campus (tentatively 9 a.m. to 11:50 p.m. on Wednesdays). Candidates should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and strong professional experience in foreign reporting and international journalism across multiple platforms; a demonstrated ability to use their language fluency to strengthen and deepen their journalism; and a record for award-winning, innovative, thoughtful work in the field.
