We are searching for an experienced PART-TIME FACULTY – Sociology Program at our Santa Maria Campus facility.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
PART-TIME FACULTY – Sociology Program

Allan Hancock College is accepting applications to teach an introductory Sociology classes for the spring 2022 semester at the Federal Correctional Institution in Lompoc. The classes will be taught on Monday and Thursday evenings.

SALARY:

  • Lecture Rate: $50.41 to $77.18 per hour depending upon education and experience
  • Lab Rate: $43.90 to $67.20 per hour depending upon education and experience
  • Activity and Non-Classroom Rate: $38.91 to $60.76 per hour depending upon education and experience

In its desire to select outstanding faculty members from the largest possible pool of qualified applicants, Allan Hancock College recognizes candidates may have attained expertise in a discipline through a variety of means. Certain combinations of education, experience, and other accomplishments in the field may be judged by the district as equal to the stated minimum qualifications for this position. Candidates who feel they possess such equivalent qualifications are encouraged to complete the equivalency form and provide appropriate documentation of their qualifications.

Applicants will be assessed on the breadth and depth of education, training, experience, skills, knowledge and abilities. A limited number of applicants will be invited for an interview. EDUCATION:Applicants must meet the educational requirement below:
Master’s in sociology OR Bachelor’s in sociology AND Master’s in anthropology, any ethnic studies, social work or psychology OR the equivalent.
