Job Description
The Castleton History program seeks to fill a tenure-track assistant professorship beginning August 2022 to teach undergraduate courses in the history of East Asia and Western Europe. Applicants should have a primary specialization in one of those fields and a secondary specialization, or demonstrable expertise, in the other. Historians with a specialization in European colonialism in Asia will also be considered. The successful candidate will teach introductory survey courses in the ancient and modern world and develop upper-division courses on East Asia and Western Europe according to interest and expertise.
Requirements
A Ph.D. in history is required by the time of appointment.
