The Department of History at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) (https://history.unc.edu), invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Medieval/Early Modern Jewish History. Applicants who work on Jewish history in the Mediterranean world, Europe, and/or Islamicate lands are especially welcome. The successful applicant will also hold the working title of Van der Horst Fellow at the Carolina Center for Jewish Studies (https://jewishstudies.unc.edu/). Their scholarship, teaching, and service will involve active and ongoing participation in Jewish Studies.

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants who work on Jewish history in the Mediterranean world, Europe, and/or Islamicate lands are especially welcome. A successful application’s scholarship, teaching, and service will involve active and ongoing participation in Jewish Studies.PhD in hand by July 1, 2022.
