Another reference to Greece, in relation to the launch of the Turkish-made Tayfun missile, was made by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

In his speech at the opening of the Turkish TOGG electric car production plant, the Turkish president referred to Turkey’s defence industry.

“There are no people who are not proud of its achievements. Turks are proud of the Tayfun missile,” he said.

As he added, implying that there will be other missile launches, “Tayfun immediately entered the agenda of Greece and the Greeks. And where are you still? There’s more to come after that.”

Regarding the electric car, Erdoğan said that “now that they will see it in Europe, the Europeans will say that the crazy Turks are coming.”
