SOHR activists have confirmed the death of four regime soldiers in airstrikes by Turkish fighter jets on a position in Shawarghah village in Sharran district in Afrin countryside in north-western Aleppo. According to SOHR sources, the targeted position is nearly tens metres away from a Russian military post in that area. The number of fatalities expected to rise further, as the attack left eight other soldiers injured, some seriously, amid unconfirmed reports of more fatalities.
Moreover, a Kurdish fighter was killed and three others were injured, one seriously, following Turkish airstrikes on Balyouniyah frontline in northern Aleppo.
Accordingly, the number of fatalities among regime forces due to Turkish airstrikes has risen to ten; they are as follows:
- Four were killed in Shawarghah village in north-western Aleppo.
- Four were killed in strikes on a post of regime border guards in Um Harmal village in Abu Rasin countryside in north-western Al-Hasakah.
- Two were killed in strikes on a military post in Qaz’ali village in Tel Abyad countryside in northern Al-Raqqah.
SOHR activists have also documented the death of nine SDF fighters and affiliated members in the latest Turkish airstrikes. They are as follows:
- Seven were killed in Jabal Qarrah area in Al-Malikiyah countryside (Dayrek) in Al-Hasakah province.
- Two were killed in Zahr Al-Arab village in the western countryside of Al-Darbasiyah in Al-Hasakah province.
The number of fatalities is expected to rise further, as the attack left at least 41 members of SDF and regime forces injured, some seriously, amid unconfirmed reports of more fatalities.
