Erdoğan arrives in Turkmenistan for trilateral summit

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived Tuesday in Turkmenistan’s port of Turkmenbashi to attend the first summit between the leaders of Türkiye, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan. 

Erdogan, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedow will hold the summit on Wednesday in the western Turkmen city of Awaza to address steps to further deepen cooperation between the three countries in various areas, particularly in trade, energy and transportation.

The presidents will sign several agreements which aim to strengthen cooperation.

Erdogan will also hold bilateral talks on the sidelines of the summit.​​​​​​​
