Turkish Ministry of Justice Approves DEM Party’s Request to Meet with Abdullah Öcalan

The Ministry of Justice has given a positive response to the application made by the Peoples’ Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) to meet with PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan.

According to a report by Mezopotamya Agency, based on the verbal response communicated by the ministry, DEM Party members, Deputy Speaker of Parliament Sırrı Süreyya Önder and Member of Parliament Pervin Buldan, will travel to İmralı Island for the meeting.

Depending on weather conditions, DEM Party MPs Sırrı Süreyya Önder and Pervin Buldan are expected to visit İmralı tomorrow or on December 29 to meet with PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan.
