The Annenberg School of Journalism at the University of Southern California seeks an adjunct instructor to teach JOUR 307: Reporting and Writing II, specializing in writing for audio or video broadcast.

JOUR 307 provides students with foundational skills to report, write and produce journalism content across multiple platforms, including broadcast, digital and text.

This is an in-person, part-time position based in Los Angeles. Candidates cannot work remotely.

Applicants should have a minimum of five years experience writing and reporting in a video or audio format for an established news outlet. A strong candidate also has an understanding of important issues in the current media landscape, including diversity, ethics and changes in how news is delivered and consumed. Prior teaching experience is preferred, and a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Journalism is a plus. Applicants should have a primary career elsewhere.
