Major Responsibilities
Teach and assess learning in undergraduate courses. The teaching load is typically 4 in-person courses per semester as assigned by the department chair. Current and anticipated need is accounting courses (i.e., Financial Accounting and Managerial Accounting).
Maintain a minimum of five office hours per week and a routine presence on campus
Maintain correspondence with the department chair and secretary
Work with department faculty to ensure continuity of content in courses
Demonstrate passion for teaching and mentoring undergraduate students of all skill and ability levels, academic backgrounds, social and cultural identities with diverse lived experiences
Demonstrate commitment to treat others at all levels of the organization with fairness and respect
Participate in faculty meetings as needed
Functional and Supervisory Relationships
Reports to the academic department chair.
Works with department chair, department faculty and administrative staff.
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in related area and/or Licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with an active registration.
Preferred Qualifications
College teaching experience
Evidence of demonstrated commitment to excellence in working with students from diverse backgrounds
Work experience in accounting field
