Turkish forces shell regime positions | Three children killed in Sarmin and five regime soldiers killed in Aleppo

Turkish forces stationed in “Putin-Erdogan” area shelled areas of the regime forces in Ma’arat Al-Na’aman and Kafr Nobl in Idlib countryside, after regime forces shelled Sarmin, Afis and Al-Masmotiya, which is considered the largest position of Turkish forces in Idlib. However, no casualties were reported.

This coincided with ongoing clashes between HTS and the regime forces that attempted to advance onto Al-Malaja frontline.

Moreover, HTS shelled Saraqib City in Idlib countryside, where regime forces are stationed.

On the same context, five members of the regime were killed and four members of HTS were injured in an attack by HTS on Kafr Taal frontline western of Aleppo.

The number of people killed in Sarmin City has risen to three children, due to the regime’s ground shelling.

Moreover, regime forces shelled Tarmanin Town and the vicinity of Ariha in Idlib, in addition to Kansafra Town and the vicinity of Al-Bara in Jabal Al-Zawiya. Moreover, regime forces shelled Kafr Taal, Kafr Amma and Al-Qasr frontlines in western Aleppo countryside.

Since early 2023, SOHR has documented 241 operations in the “de-escalation zone,” including attacks, gunfire by snipers and bombardment, which left 402 combatants and civilians dead. In addition, these operations left over 209 combatants and 82 civilians, including 11 women and 29 children, injured.
The fatalities can be distributed as follows:
• 29 civilians, including four women, ten children and a civil defence member, were killed by regime forces.
• 266 members of regime forces, including 17 officers.
• An Afghan militiaman of “Liwaa Fatemiyoun.”
• A member of the Syrian Hezbollah.
• 65 members of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham, including a French jihadist.
• 12 members of the jihadist faction of “Ansar Al-Tawheed.
• One member of “Ahrar Al-Sham” movement.
• Two members of “Al-Sham Corps.”
• One member of “Hurras Al-Din” organisation.
• The Commander-in-chief of Russian Special Tasks Forces.
• A militiaman of the Iranian-backed “Liwaa Al-Baqer.”
• A member of “Soqour Al-Sham.”
• A member of the “National Liberation Front.
