The Pakistan Country office has prioritized the formation of a Partnerships unit as part of its new Country Programme (2023-2027). The purpose of the unit is to generate funding to support both the regular programme and humanitarian appeals. Funding from both public and private sector donors, including UNICEF national Committees are key pillars of this strategy. Moreover, since January 2020 the PCO has integrated engagement with the private sector in Pakistan on a non-financial basis (Business for results – B4R) in order to leverage the influence and impact of the private sector to deliver positive outcomes for children.

Under the general guidance and supervision of the Chief of Partnerships and Resource Mobilization (P-5), the positions will be responsible for supporting the overall coordination, planning, development and realization of the Country Office’s Private sector Resource Mobilization and Business for Results strategies, in line with UNICEF’s regional and global priorities and strategies.

Reporting to the P-5 Partnerships and Resource Mobilization Chief, the Partnerships Specialist (private sector) positions’ purpose is to deepen collaboration with key private sector partners in and outside Pakistan, both in terms of resource mobilization from the corporate sector and high network individuals and support the PRM Chief in the execution of the B4R annual work plans.

S/He may also serve as focal point and resource for colleagues on specific thematic areas of strategic relevance for partnership development, with a focus on fundraising from the private sector and Business for Results activities.
