M&E Assistant

Silk Road (SRO) is a Non-political, Non-governmental, and non-profit organization established in Aleppo city in November 2015 then it was registered in Turkey – Gaziantep in 2016 .

Silk Road works to take action to find creative solutions to the persistent problems of conflict-affected people in Syria and Turkey and to support the actions of affected and marginalized people and communities to overcome poverty and suffering more effectively based on complementarity and respect for the contribution that each party brings and upholding the highest ethical and professional standards.

Silk Road cares about supporting vulnerable people in need via focusing on three main sectors currently which are Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)and Food Security, Early recovery and Livelihood (FSL), in addition to the good experience we gained through the implementation of many projects in other sectors such as Education, Protection, Early recovery and Shelter and Non-food items.

All Silk Road’s activities are guided by the four humanitarian principles: Humanity, Neutrality, Impartiality and Independence, and these principles provide the foundations for humanitarian action and govern the conduct of all humanitarian workers at Silk Road.

General overview about this position:
Ensure implementing MEAL framework, ensure program quality and accountability through efficient and effective collection, receipt, input and review of information relating to Silk Road program. The job holder will be performing her/his responsibility through implementing M&E activities in Silk Road’s program locations in Syria, the job holder will be responsible for the coordination of the collection of monitoring information, and performing their responsibility in collaboration with program teams.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Collecting ongoing project monitoring data, and follow up inputting project monitoring data into the database and supporting data analysis.
2. Producing monthly summaries of monitoring data for presentation to M&E Manager.
3. Producing monitoring reports as requested by M&E Manager.
4. Support M&E Manager with mid-term and final evaluation data requirements.
5. Responsible for monitoring and evaluation process for all project stages, collecting data, schedule regular visits to activities’ sites to make sure that the implementation of the activities going in the right direction, receiving complaints and feedbacks and submitting required reports.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

1. University degree.
2. Minimum 2 Years’ experience.
3. high communication and case management skills
4. Excellent computer and Microsoft office skills.
5. Good in English language.
6. Priority is given to those conducting M & E courses.
7. be full-time with the ability to work under pressure.
8. Commitment to responsibilities and duties.
9. Previous experience working with NGOs is essential.
10. Flexibility and ability to work in a team
11. Good organizational and time management skills Excellent social and interpersonal skills.
12. Good knowledge of reporting and analysis.
13. Ability to travel.
