Position description

The Senior Program Associate for Partnerships is a dynamic role designed to expand the reach and impact of the Our Future Agenda program. This position plays a crucial role in identifying, developing, and managing partnerships with diverse stakeholders, including NGOs, private sector entities, and philanthropic organizations. It also contributes to the spearheading of several fundraising initiatives to secure the necessary resources for the program’s ambitious goals. The Senior Program Associate will report directly to the Senior Director, Global Partnerships and Initiatives and work in close collaboration with staff, consultants, and fellows.

This is a permanent position based in the New York office. (Hybrid Schedule)

Essential Functions

      • Assist with the identification and cultivation of strategic partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders relevant to the Our Future Agenda program’s objectives.
      • Provide administrative and logistical support for all partnership negotiations.
      • Assist with maintaining existing partnerships, fostering strong relationships through regular communication and joint activities.
      • Contribute to the planning and execution of engagement activities with key stakeholders to raise awareness about the Our Future Agenda program, its impact, and funding needs.
      • Staff senior leadership as they represent the program at relevant forums, conferences, and networking events to build visibility and support for its initiatives.
      • Support the development and execution of a comprehensive fundraising strategy that aligns with the program’s mission and objectives.
      • Research and identify potential funding sources, including grants, sponsorships, and donations from individuals, foundations, and corporations.
      • Support the creation of compelling grant proposals, sponsorship packages, and fundraising appeals
      • Maintain detailed records and reporting on progress and outcomes.
      • Work closely with the program team to align fundraising efforts with programmatic needs and priorities.

Selection Criteria

      • Bachelor’s degree required; a degree in International Relations, Business, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
      • At least 3 years of professional experience in partnership development, fundraising, or a closely related role, preferably within a non-profit, international development, or global governance context.
      • Demonstrated ability to contribute to the development of strategic partnerships and engage a diverse range of stakeholders.
      • Strong understanding of global governance issues, with a particular focus on youth empowerment and intergenerational leadership.
      • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to represent the program across various platforms and events.
      • Creative thinker with strong analytical skills, able to identify opportunities for partnership and funding within and outside traditional channels.
      • Highly organized with effective project management skills, capable of balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
      • Ability to work collaboratively with a cross-functional team, contributing positively to team operations and working relationships.
      • Proficient in using digital tools and platforms for partnership management, stakeholder engagement, and fundraising activities.
      • Writing skill assessment is part of the interview process.
