Position description

What will you be doing?

As a communications intern, you will:

      • Support the communications team;
      • Help edit and proofread our outputs;
      • Keep track of our outreach;
      • Help us plan and coordinate our work.

You will also help us:

      • Update ECDPM’s website;
      • Organise and communicate about ECDPM events;
      • Prepare internal newsletters;
      • Improve our communications across the board;
      • Help create impactful multimedia.

You are part of the communications team and will report to the Communications officer. You are based in either our Brussels or Maastricht office.

Who are we looking for?

Our ideal candidate:

      • Is eligible for Erasmus+ funding;
      • Is currently enrolled in or has recently graduated from a relevant field (e.g. communications, journalism, public relations etc.);
      • Is an excellent English (native or near-native) speaker, and has experience with writing and editing. Knowledge of one or more other languages, particularly French, is a plus;
      • Has an interest and some experience in communications, EU affairs and/or marketing;
      • Is interested in international cooperation and enjoys working in a multicultural and dynamic environment;
      • Has a proactive and hands-on approach;
      • Has strong organisational, coordination and project management skills;
      • Is service-oriented and knows how to work independently as well as in a team;
      • Is creative, flexible and pays attention to details.
