Overview of position
The contracted personnel are
responsible for the lifecycle management of Transport assets management
including procurement, allocation and distribution, reporting, data accuracy
& integrity, and fleet tracking systems installation and maintenance. Also,
must be skilled in using various hand & power tools & have excellent
problem-solving skills. Additionally, s / he will also technically assist &
support all other field office locations throughout the mission area whenever
required.
Role objectives
Ensures that Transport
assets are received, recorded, issued, tracked, and disposed off in accordance
with UN rules and regulations, utilizing SAP (Umoja) to maintain accurate and
auditable asset records.
Installation of ICT
equipment and Carlog (electronic fleet management system) in mission vehicles
and thereafter monitor vehicle utilization to identify utilization trends,
inefficiencies, and opportunities for fleet optimization.
Analyze fleet and spare
parts historical data in supply chain planning tool (SCPT) and develop initial
demands to support vehicle and spare parts replacement planning.
Dismantling of ICT
equipment and Carlog from vehicles that are due for decommissioning and prepare
the same to be installed in new vehicles being commissioned to the fleet.
Ensure compliance with
internal and external policies, procedures, rules and regulations while
supporting audits as required.
Assist in budget
preparation, expenditure tracking, and compliance with financial rules and
regulations in Umoja and SCPT.
Support the procurement
process, including preparation of Statement of requirements (SOR) and Statement
of Works SOW), vendor performance management in CPRT and vendor coordination
for the delivery of Transport goods and services.
Ensure compliance with
safety regulations & procedures on the ICT equipment and tools while
working in the workshops.
Stay up to date with ICT
industry trends & advancements in technology.
Willingness to work
outdoors & in varying weather conditions while installing ICT equipment and
Carlog.
Be on call & provide
24 x 7 to manage and support Transport Section ICT systems when required
especially during crisis & emergency situations.
Compiles periodic fleet and
ICT equipment status, utilization, maintenance, and deployment reports to
support operational, tactical and strategic planning.
Perform any other ICT
duties & tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Must be diligent &
reliable delivering high quality work within tight deadlines.
Project reporting
The ICT Project Support will be working under the direct supervision of the Application Support Unit Supervisor.

Education, experience and other
requirements
Bachelor’s degree in
Logistics management, Transport Management, Mechanical engineering or other related
Engineering/Business field is required.
A minimum of five years
of professional experience in Assets
management is required.
Experience in developing
Power BI dashboards and reports is required.
Strong computer literacy,
including proficiency in MS Office Suite, Power BI, and related tools is
required.
Familiarity with UN CMR
platforms such as iNeed, Field Support Suite, and other enterprise applications
is desirable.
Ability to manage and
monitor the section assets and keep track the end-to-end movement of assets
from the warehouse to the clients is desirable
Ability to produce
detailed reports or dashboards on mission inventory related activities is
desirable
Possession of a valid
national driver’s license with the ability to operate both light and heavy motor
vehicles with a manual transmission is required.
Strong proficiency in
English, both written and spoken, is required.
Ability to perform any
other duty as assigned by the section.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in South Sudan is desirable (essential).
Team management
This role has no team management responsibility.
