Position overview:
As the Accounting Manager you will lead local Accounting team and reporting to Regional Accounting Senior Manager.
Key responsibilities include:
Maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records
Oversee and manage the general accounting functions: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, revenue recognition, lease accounting, fixed asset accounting and taxes. Ensure the balance confirmation from all AP/AR as per frequency defined.
Providing control of cost accounting, currency valuation, accrual calculations and other income/expense items in month closing transactions.
Ensuring no delays in accounting and MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise) compliance is ensured.
Prepare detailed Account Reconciliation quarterly & review with Sr. Mgr, Regional Accounting and ensure outstanding points are resolved within agreed timelines.
Ensure Balance Sheet related movement quarterly reporting, Flux Etc.
Monitoring and Reporting of changes in Working Capital, Cash and Controls.
Assistance in strategic business decision making including Capex & Opex. Review the AFE before uploading in portal for approvals.
Preparation and submission of Withholding, VAT, Stamp Duty, SCT, BA-BS Forms, Provisional Tax and Corporate Tax returns.
Support the annual audit with PWC(or Auditor) where appropriate and facilitate a smooth audit process. Statutory Accounts (Turkish GAAP/Global) and Audits (Internal /Global).
What are we looking for?
Chartered Accountant (SMMM).
Graduated from Business Administration and Economics departments of universities.
Extended experience in similar roles and at least 2 years of heading the department independently within a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of SOX (Sarbanes Oxley) and experience of working under a SOX environment.
Knowledge of Turkish GAAP, IFRS, Accounting Standards, Indirect Tax (Sales Tax, Customs, Excise, Recycling Contr. Tax) and Direct Tax.
Auditing, Taxation & MIS in a Manufacturing Industry & experience in a ERP environment.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
