UNIS seeks an Assistant Admissions Director to the Director of Admissions for assisting in all aspects of the student recruitment and enrollment program in accordance with UNIS’ mission.

This role reports to the Director of Admissions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the supervision of the Director of Admissions, the Assistant Admissions Director will:
      • Be the first point of contact for routine phone and email inquiries.
      • Serve as the assistant admissions officer with regard to Junior School (elementary) Tutorial House (high school) applications.
      • Do data entry in Ravenna and Veracross for applicants and newly enrolled students.
      • Produce and distribute group communications using Veracross and email.
      • Update the Admissions portion of the website and Admissions forms and materials.
      • Assist with the evaluation of applicants, including conducting regular interviews with applicants to the Tutorial House and assisting with Middle School interviews and Junior School assessments, when needed.
      • Plan the visits of Tutorial House applicants.
      • Organize in-year orientations for all new Tutorial House students.
      • Assist with organization of new student orientations held in August.
      • Occasionally represent UNIS at professional gatherings in matters pertaining to admissions, at the request of the Director of Admissions.
      • Perform other job-related functions as requested by the Director of Admissions.
      • Assume all functions and responsibilities of the Director of Admissions, if, for any reason, the Director of Admissions is unable to perform these functions.

Qualifications

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
      • Proven ability to exercise sound judgment, especially by showing proper discretion in interactions with diplomatic and other high-profile visitors
      • Demonstrated outstanding interpersonal skills with demographically diverse groups
      • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across a global community.
      • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and the Google Suite
      • Summer availability is essential
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
      • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but experience is the most important qualification.
      • Experience of having lived in another country
      • Fluency in a second language
      • Teaching experience or work in a school environment
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
  • Compensation is between $46,963 and $84,712 commensurate with years of experience as outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement (salary is prorated for part-time or temporary positions
