Position description

The Department of Government invites applications for a tenured faculty position in Chinese Politics, broadly defined, at the rank of associate or full professor. In addition to maintaining an active research agenda, the successful applicant will teach courses in the field of Chinese politics as well as contribute to the broad research and teaching mission of the Department of Government. Ph.D. is required. 

The successful applicant will serve as the Director of the Brittany and Adam J. Levinson Program in China and Asia-Pacific Studies (https://caps.cornell.edu/). The ideal candidate will be an internationally recognized scholar with a strong record of external funding. The Director will provide leadership to foster the intellectual development of faculty in China and Asia-Pacific studies and enhance the Program’s educational curricula.

[Pay Range: $99,200 – $280,000] Actual salary offers in the College of Arts and Sciences will be based on education, experience, discipline, and relevant skills.
