Position description

EACA’s Communications team is looking for a creative and proactive assistant to help shape and maintain our corporate identity across print and digital platforms, including our website and social media channels. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in advertising and communications at the EU level, be inspired by our member agencies, and collaborate with our welcoming team based in the heart of Brussels.

You will be assisting the Communications Manager in:

  • Providing day-to-day support and maintenance for our website (WordPress);
  • Doing regular web audits to update outdated visuals, information or pages;
  • Building on, enhancing and maintaining our communication/editorial plan;
  • Recording and editing videos;
  • Supporting the Comms Manager in writing membership communications, industry-related articles & news, drafting the monthly newsletter and any announcements, 1-pagers, press releases, etc.;
  • Updating and maintaining our events calendar;
  • Supporting data and administrative tasks for the Communications team;
  • Liaising with and supporting the CEO and the other departments when needed, especially during events (invitations, attendees lists, comms prep for the event, promo);
  • Improving EACA’s online visibility, updating and helping in the coordination of EACA’s social media channels (LinkedIn);
  • Designing marketing material on Canva, including newsletters, eDMs and social media assets.

We are looking for someone with:

  • University degree or background in communications, marketing, advertising;
  • Experience with Canva and other digital & social campaign tools;
  • Excellent communication skills in English (spoken & written) – any other European languages are, of course, welcome;
  • Excellent writing and proof-reading skills (“attention to detail” is your second name);
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks;
  • Some experience with data and administrative tasks;
  • A creative, ideas-focused mindset;
  • Desired: experience with mailing tools and WordPress;
  • Proactive, self-starting and “can do” attitude (!);
  • EU passport, student visa, or other means of residing and working in Belgium for the duration of the traineeship.
