Part Time Copy Editor
The Anaconda Leader, a twice-weekly newspaper in Anaconda, Montana is seeking to hire a layout specialist who can assist the editor with page design duties.
The successful candidate will be proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite of programs, especially InDesign, and should have an understanding of print layout and design. This is a part-time position that will work closely with the editor to develop well-organized page layouts for our twice-weekly publication. The position will include some proofreading as well as light office work, and there may be opportunities for writing and/or photography as well, but the primary duty will be page design.
Wages and hours are negotiable, though Tuesday and Thursday afternoons/evenings are a must due to our Wednesday and Friday morning press deadlines.

Part Time Sports Editor
The Anaconda Leader, a twice-weekly newspaper in Anaconda, Montana is seeking to hire a sports writer/editor to cover local sports, primarily our high school teams, the Copperheads.
The successful candidate will possess excellent sports writing skills, photography skills and will have a thorough understanding of high school athletics. The ideal candidate will also have experience with the Adobe Creative Suite of programs, especially InDesign, and be able to assist the editor with page layout and design. This is a part-time position that will work with the editor to develop strong local sports coverage and assist with other aspects of publication as needed. The position will include some light office work.
Wages and hours are negotiable, though evenings and weekends are a must as that’s when high school games are scheduled.
