We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in San Francisco, California for a Customer Service Representative. The role involves providing service for a convention staff at a conference. The successful candidate will be a key player in our team, responsible for delivering top-notch customer service and ensuring a smooth running of the conference.


• Provide exceptional customer service to conference attendees.

• Respond promptly to customer inquiries, ensuring all queries are resolved efficiently.

• Assist in the preparation and organization of the conference.

• Ensure all customer credit applications are processed accurately and efficiently.

• Maintain accurate customer credit records.

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.

• Collaborate with the team to ensure the conference runs smoothly and efficiently.

• Handle any customer complaints or issues professionally.

• Maintain a high level of knowledge about the conference and its proceedings.

• Ensure all tasks are carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.

• Proven experience as a Customer Service Representative or similar role

• Familiarity with the principles of customer service, including needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction

• Working knowledge of customer service software, databases, and CRM tools

• Current knowledge of relevant computer programs (e.g. MS Office) and telephone systems

• Skilled in listening, speaking and writing to effectively solve customer inquiries

• Ability to handle stressful situations appropriately

• High school diploma or equivalent; higher degree in a relevant discipline would be appreciated

• Ability to work flexible hours, as needed

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively

• Ability to work in a team and build positive relationships

• Patience when handling tough cases.
