Title: Foreign Affairs Program Analyst (Seasonal)

  • Salary Range: 70,000 to 100,000 per year, depending on experience
  • Position Type: Seasonal (up to 6 months)
  • Clearance Level: Must have an Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Location: Hybrid – Telework and Onsite in Arlington, VA

Position Summary: The highly organized, detail-driven candidate will provide file management and administrative support to a high-ranking military office focused on building relationships with foreign defense and security establishments around the globe. The candidate must have familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) policies and experience supporting DoD or Department of State (DOS) executive leadership. They must be proactive, collaborative, and flexible, with the ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues, foreign dignitaries, military leaders, and high-ranking officials. The candidate must have a strong background in knowledge, database, and records management, with exceptional organizational, administrative, and written and oral communication skills.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage, organize, and prepare files using shared electronic filing systems
  • Review and analyze data and summarize and recap the outcomes
  • Prepare a future outlook / projection product that visualizes the way forward using graphic data products such as PowerPoint and PowerBI
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and read ahead materials for key leader engagements
  • Prepare monthly key leader engagement service delivery summary reports
  • Prepare annual senior leader engagements plan
  • Attend planning meetings, and prepare meeting minutes and post-engagement analysis reports
  • Prepare official correspondence
  • Assist primary contractor in supporting government priorities

Qualifications

  • US Citizenship
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Strong background in knowledge, database, and records management
  • Experience with PowerBI preferred
  • Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Familiarity with DoD policies
  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited institution
  • Experience working with the DoD, DOS, or OGA in the field of foreign policy, national security strategy, security cooperation, or closely related subject matter
  • International Affairs / Security Cooperation experience with DoD, preferably National Guard knowledge / experience preferred
  • Experience working with foreign dignitaries and high-ranking military officials preferred
