Job Title: Industrial Sewer

Location: Sparta, New Jersey

Type: Contract-to-Hire

Compensation: $21 hourly

Contractor Work Model: Onsite

Hours: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm EST

Overview

We’re seeking an experienced Industrial Sewer to sew, cut, and assemble synthetic fabrics according to specifications. This role involves pattern layout, material preparation, and quality inspection.

Key Responsibilities

• Sew, cut, and layout synthetic fabrics per pattern requirements
• Use double-needle sewing machines and follow match marks for alignment
• Fold, stretch, or trim materials for proper fit and finish
• Verify materials and patterns match job tickets
• Perform final inspection and quality checks
• Lift and pack fabric rolls for shipping

Qualifications

• Experience operating double-needle sewing machines
• Skilled in fabric layout and cutting to pattern or cut-sheet specs
• Ability to read blueprints and use rulers/fractions accurately
• Able to lift heavy fabric bolts and work onsite Monday–Friday
