Position Summary

The School of Education at Indiana University South Bend is seeking a full-time lecturer (Non-Tenure Track) in Elementary Education with training in and knowledge of STEM Education practices for the 2025-2026 Academic Year.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Teach four courses per semester in elementary and/or STEM education and related content for graduate and undergraduate teacher preparation programs
  • Teaching in the summer is voluntary and compensated separately.
  • Courses may be in-person, Online, hybrid, or in additional formats, and may be offered in the evenings/weekends and off campus partner locations.
  • Assisting in recruitment and retention efforts as needed
  • Providing service to the school, college, campus, and university and participate in shared governance activities
  • Working collaboratively with faculty from across campuses, K-12 schools, and agencies.

Basic Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Master of Science in Education with an emphasis in Elementary Education or STEM Education.
  • 5+ years of experience teaching in an elementary classroom (prek-5).
  • Demonstration of excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Training or certification in STEM Field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Elementary Education or related field
  • Experience and evidence of successful teaching at the university level, including in online and/or hybrid settings
  • Experience facilitating curriculum development, mapping, and evaluation within the STEM concentrations.
