Highly motivated and experienced Legal Counsel of Eurasia and Middle (EME) Operating Unit (OU) with the primary responsibility for all legal affairs of our Human Resources (HR), Public Affairs & Communications (PAC), and Digital Services (DS) in the OU by supporting the teams on a broad-spectrum area, advising, and assisting in problem resolution on a timely basis as a strong credible business partner; working as part of cross-functional and territory teams on projects and initiatives to drive the Company’s vision of emerging stronger and supporting the transformation of OU Legal team. The responsibilities might be expanded to other functions according to the motivation and performance.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Deliver strategic legal counselling and direction across HR, PAC, and DS functions to navigate complex business challenges and growth opportunities.

  • Collaborate with other OU Legal Counsels as well as the Global Legal Function team including network and practice groups in a network way to ensure alignment and cohesion across legal strategy and practices.

  • Develop and support efficiency opportunities within the legal function to enhance the agility and effectiveness of the legal function. 

  • Manage discussions with regulators, leveraging the advice and expertise of region counsels and PAC team to ensure regulatory advocacy.

  • In alignment with business strategy, work on assigned projects that are related to a franchise, optimizing resources, and focusing on work that drives the most business value.

  • Provide innovative solutions to bring efficiency and growth, acting as a vital contributor towards the optimization of technology.

  • Communicate compelling functional stories.

  • Support transformation of OU legal team.

Key Qualifications :

  • Law degree with a license to practice.

  • Min 5yr experience as a legal counsel role either in a law firm or preferably as an in-house counsel in a multi-national company.

  • Proven ability to distil complex legal language into an easily understandable narrative.

  • Superior negotiation skills with a track record of successfully liaising with regulatory bodies.

  • A good understanding of the business environment, with a demonstrated business acumen.

  • Fluency in English
