As an Operations Analyst, you will provide analytical and statistical support to portfolio management and country programming. As part of the BRM operations team, you will help project teams in identifying and addressing challenges that are specific to the country’s system and conditions.

You will:

  • Compile statistical data and support in data analysis for Country Portfolio Performance, Tripartite Portfolio Review meeting process and planned lending and Technical Assistance (TA) projects/programs , and prepare the annual Bangladesh Portfolio Performance Report, briefing papers, reports, meeting minutes, workshops.
  • Assist the Country Operations team in the annual contract award and disbursement projections and monitoring targets.
  • Support in maintaining updated information on development partners profile, and in organizing coordination meetings and taking minutes of such meetings.
  • Support in collecting and preparing relevant data related to programming and portfolio management.
  • Help process TAs and implementation of projects, if required, by participating in the missions and ADB system approvals.
  • Support in developing and enhancing monitoring and quality assurance tools (spreadsheets, checklists, project briefing sheets, databases, consultant and contractor management systems), conduct testing and verification, and support in rollout.
  • Support in monitoring physical progress of project, participate and provide analytical support in missions and support procurement process and disbursement management.
  • Facilitate compliance of quarterly, semi-annual and annual reporting, preparation of project completion reports. Facilitate regular project updates in ADB systems.
  • Support in implementation of assigned TAs with recruitment and management of consultants and preparing relevant correspondence and contract variations.
  • Support with the implementation and review of the works relating to Country Partnership Strategy.
  • Perform any other tasks as required and reflected in your workplan.

Qualifications:

You will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, social science, public policy and management or related fields.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience; related experience in international agencies similar to ADB is desirable.
  • Demonstrated understanding of international development agencies’ operational processes.
  • Demonstrated good analytical thinking with the ability to make casual links to project challenges, and to suggest solutions and appropriate actions.
  • Proficiency in operating Microsoft programs in Excel and its various function keys to managing analytical spreadsheets, graphics, and database applications.
  • Proficiency in the use of IT and AI tools for data management and operation support.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across ADB, engage with external partners, and navigate diverse cultural contexts.
  • Excellent proficiency in oral and written English communications.
