Position description

Chaffey College is seeking applicants for the adjunct faculty pool in the Political Science department. All applicants are expected to meet the California State Community College Minimum Qualifications for Political Science instructors (below). Meeting the minimum qualifications does not guarantee employment or an interview. 

PLEASE NOTE: Assignment may include teaching in person/on campus.

The anticipated Political Science courses are Intro to Political Science and American Politics. 

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s in political science, government, or international relations; OR
  • Bachelor’s in any of the above; AND
  • Master’s in economics, history, public administration, social science, sociology, any ethnic studies, JD or LL.B.; OR
  • The equivalent; AND
  • Demonstrated evidence of sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds in a community college environment.

MEETING MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS DOES NOT ASSURE THE CANDIDATE OF AN INTERVIEW. Applications will be evaluated taking into account the breadth and depth of relevant education, experience, skills, knowledge and abilities.
