The SHARE Project Manager will report to the Readiness Facility Manager. S/he will be responsible for managing the full project cycle, including implementation of activities across knowledge creation, capacity development, knowledge exchange, and knowledge management. S/he will lead a team of staff in Seoul HQ, work closely with the Readiness Facility Manager to build and manage key global partnerships, and ensure SHARE’s contribution to the CTF’s broader results framework.

Responsibilities

  •  Lead the effective design, planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of the SHARE project.
  • Oversee project management for SHARE, including detailed work and budget planning, team management (staff members, interns, consultants, technical desk), risk management, and quality assurance in line with GGGI’s project cycle.
  • Guide the development of concept notes, TORs for consultants, and partnership agreements necessary for effective delivery.
  • Lead the creation of a research and knowledge agenda that adds value to CTF’s mission to open carbon markets through the implementation of cooperative approaches, providing practical guidance and tools for potential host countries.
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality knowledge products, capacity development activities, knowledge exchange events and external knowledge dissemination activities.
  • Lead the creation and strengthening of strategic partnerships with peer organizations to promote coordination and coherence in global Article 6 readiness efforts.
  • Promote continuous learning, innovation and adaptive management within the project and across the Readiness Facility.
  • Work closely with the Readiness Facility Manager and communications team to position CTF and GGGI as core global assets on carbon market implementation.
  • Pioneer outreach and partnerships with peer knowledge institutions globally; lead establishment of a knowledge network for collaboration and peer review of project outputs.
  • Represent GGGI and SHARE at global coordination meetings, providing feedback to CPU management and identifying opportunities to build synergies with international partners.
  • Manage coordination between stakeholders involved in project delivery. This includes scheduling and participating in meetings, consultations and working sessions in both in-person and virtual settings, across time zones and geographies.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in economics, finance, international development, environmental policy, carbon markets, climate change, knowledge management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in project management at the national or global scales (including work planning, financial management, people management, communications and stakeholder coordination), preferably in international development, climate finance, or carbon markets.
  • Minimum of two years of international experience (living and working outside of home country).
  • Understanding of and experience in carbon pricing, international carbon markets and/or Article 6.
  • Proven track record in delivering knowledge exchange, knowledge management initiatives and capacity development projects.
  • Understanding of the global ecosystem, context and scale of need for Article 6 support to developing countries.
  • Experience establishing, coordinating and strengthening partnerships between international development partners is a strong advantage.
  • An excellent command of spoken and written English.
  • Ability to speak French and/or Spanish is an advantage.
