Job Description Summary

The Service Director (Türkiye) reports to the MENAT Service Leader and is a strategic role accountable for building long term relationships with customers, driving optimized operations, fiscal management, and sub-region safety. Overall scope includes leading multiple hub teams, coordinating daily hub operations as well as exemplify excellence in leadership, safety, quality control, and financial oversight. The Service Director partners closely with the customer and ensures alignment with GE Vernova operational excellence.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

As Service Director, you will be responsible for:

People Leadership

  • Initiate and support staffing requirements, coaching, training, and corrective action concerning employees and contracted partners, including succession planning.

  • Own the safety culture within the sub-region (Turkiye), inclusive of contracted partners and customers.

  • Execute daily Plan of the Day calls, to include prioritizing and managing a dispatch schedule.

Customer Point of Contact

  • Customer focused approach to build long term relationships with customers to deliver business objectives and meet contractual requirements.

Partner with CPM | Customer Performance Manager

  • Escalate customer concerns with priority.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams like Sales, Commercial Operations, Sourcing, Finance, and HR to meet the deliverables.

Turbine Return to Service, Ontime Maintenance, & UTR

  • Prioritize turbine performance to meet/exceed performance commitments.

Leadership

  • Be innovative and engaged in all areas of facility operations, aligned with individual site plans, to include creative problem solving with a LEAN mindset.

  • Lead operations ensuring regular visits to sites.

  • Drive a safety focus.

  • Continue to grow customer relationships.

  • Team engagement and talent development.

  • Closely coordinate with transactional team to generate additional revenue streams.

  • Closely coordinate with Main Components Upgrade & Blade teams to ensure efficient management of contractual deliverables.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college.

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in wind industry as the service team leader / manager roles.

  • Ability and willingness to travel

  • Fluency in English & Turkish.

  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license.

Desired Characteristics

  • Ability and willingness to travel across the hubs, which may require overnights.

  • Technical Certification in Wind Energy or Electrical/Electronic field preferred.

  • Comprehensive writing skills to meet contractual reporting obligations, as required.

  • Strong functional knowledge in Operations and Maintenance best industry practices, planning, organizing, coordinating, executing, and controlling the wind hub activities.

  • Strong leadership skills, ability to embrace and adapt to change and influence others.

  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
