Plan and organize Technical Control Facility, Outside Plant Maintenance, Telephone Switch Maintenance and Network Maintenance. Develop and improve work methods and procedures related to installation, operations and maintenance of all work centers supporting base and long haul communications. Primary Network Technician, acting as the Helpdesk POC for all local NIPR and SIPR enterprise systems issues, create and/or manage trouble tickets, and monitor status and report outages to INOSC Operations.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop/establish/implement written guidelines/policies to ensure standardization of practices within and across work centers. 2. Direct personnel performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. 3. Assist work center personnel performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. 4. Performs Client Support Administration (CSA) responsibilities in accordance with Air Force directives. 5. Creates customer network accounts and maintain administrative documentation. 6. Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of network related equipment equipment. 7. Maintains and updates Network Diagrams. 8. Maintains daily contact with the Project Management chain and Government personnel to assist in the timely resolution of technical problems and to execute the operational functions that require their personal attention 9. Perform other duties as required.

    MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:

    Windows Computer and associated software; hand tools and electronic test equipment

    WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

    Majority of time will be in an office environment but may be required to work outdoors in all weather conditions including high heat and humidity. Position will require a minimum of 3-7 days travel quarterly. May be required to work to perform oncall duties.

    PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

    Primarily job requires sitting for extended period but will also require ladder climbing, lifting (up to 25 lbs unassisted) and crawling.

Qualifications

Education/Certifications:

One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

Bachelors degree and 2 years experience or High School diploma and 6 years experience. Certification compliant with DoDI 8570.01M (ie CompTia Security+), training in COMSEC and Information Assurance.

Experience:

6 years of related experience desired. Minimum of 2 years experience, falling within the last 8 years, as a Client Service Technician / Network Management. Shall also have had experience in the maintenance and installation of Telephone/LAN Systems, and training in COMSEC and IA. Knowledge of and experience with U.S. DOD military mission, structure, doctrine, standards and security requirements.

Skills:

Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language. Valid drivers license. Motivated self-starter. Familiarity with Turkish culture.
