Staff Accountant in Salt Lake City, Utah

Are you an exceptional Staff Accountant looking to make an impact in your career? We have a start up company looking for a Staff Accountant to join their team.

The right Staff Accountant will be over:

• Prepare daily position reporting, including reconciliation of all positions, cash movements and trading activity

• Monitor trading activities and process/resolve trade breaks by liaising with third-party service providers, including prime brokers and trading desks

• Assist with monitoring and processing corporate actions

• Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other reports to summarize financial results for senior management

• Assist in the calculation of management and performance fees

• Review, investigate and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reports

• Prepare monthly and quarterly journal entries and account reconciliations as part of the monthly close process for areas, as assigned

  Requirements

• Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA helpful but not required

• Minimum 2 years of experience working in investment/hedge fund accounting or auditing is required
