Job Summary Job Summary The purpose of the Teacher, Visual Impairment is to provide an educational program for students who are visually impaired and assist these students in successfully participating academically, and/or socially in their classrooms. This position is designated as a certificated teaching position and is under the supervision of a program principal. The position may supervise related support staff as assigned. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Job related experience is desired.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university is required; Master’s degree desirable.

CERTIFICATES/CREDENTIALS/LICENSES:

  • Education Specialist Instruction Credential or equivalent, with an authorization in Visual Impairments
  • CTEL Certification or EL equivalent such as CLAD, BCLAD, or SDAIE
  • Valid California Driver’s License
