The consultant will provide support to the activities of coordination (with stakeholders, national institutions, and donors) and reporting of the Implementation Support Unit (ISU) established at the Ministry of Social Development of Jordan (MOSD) for the implementation of the National Social Protection Strategy (NSPS).

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Education: A Master’s degree or greater in a relevant field such as applied social sciences, development studies, or public policy. A first university degree with two years of additional relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of advanced university degree.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of progressive responsibility in management or in coordinating technical and development programming, preferably in the social protection or social development sectors.
  • Direct experience in working with the Government of Jordan on policy dialogue and supporting the implementation of the projects/program activities.
  • Technical expertise in Social Protection and any relevant field such as development, economics, and public finance.
  • Strong leadership, communications, teamwork, mentoring, and management skills proved in prior assignments.
  • Demonstrated abilities in program/project results monitoring and reporting.
  • Experience and demonstrated capacity for writing high-level documents, concept papers, and policy notes.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required for high level engagement with government departments and other stakeholders.
  • Languages: Excellent English and Arabic verbal, writing, and editing skills.
