Job Description

Assist teaching staff

  • Provide for the personal needs of children enrolled in the classroom
  • Plan, organize and implement developmentally appropriate activities for children
  • Supervise children inside the classroom during play and learning activities, outside during playtime and during routine care; such as toileting, eating, napping to ensure children’s safety and success while maintaining daily routines
  • Communicate with parents, verbally and in writing, about children’s daily happenings
  • Maintain a stimulating environment that meets Tennessee QRIS guidelines
  • Communicate potential problems with administrative staff (Asst. Director & Director)
  • Other duties as requested by administrative staff

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in UTM course work.

Pass fingerprint background check, provide medical release form, and complete all pre-service training as required by TN Dept. of Human Services for childcare educators.
