An ambulance carrying an emergency patient in Turkey’s Bursa province on Friday was not allowed to proceed since police had stopped traffic due to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan motorcade on the route.
Despite the blaring sirens of the ambulance, the police officers who halted traffic on Bursa’s Atatürk Street did not allow the ambulance to pass due to orders to clear the way during Erdoğan’s visit to the province.
After footage of the ambulance waiting in traffic appeared on social media on Saturday, users criticized the police for not prioritizing the patient in the ambulance.
Some people are seen in the footage arguing with the police who refused to yield the right of way to the ambulance.
