The course is an introductory course that is expected to cover key topics in comparative politics, including but not limited to the following: types of government, ranging from democratic to totalitarian; the parliamentary alternative to presidential democracy; political modernization and revolution; the growth and consolidation of democratic regimes, the persistence of non-democratic and hybrid regimes; economic growth; ethnicity; and political violence.

Duties and Responsibilities
Teaching one introductory comparative politics course as described above. The successful candidate will have full responsibility for the course(s) s/he is teaching, including course and syllabus preparation and grading. Must maintain a minimum of (4) office hours per week, either in-person or virtually over Microsoft Teams.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Masters Degree preferred or substantial progress toward the terminal degree.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Master’s degree or doctoral degree in political science, international relations, or other relevant field. Some teaching experience and/or relevant work in public policy and government is a plus.
