Opportunity

The Department of Anthropology, Economics, & Political Science in the Faculty of Arts and Science invites applications for a full-time tenure-track appointment in Socio-Cultural Anthropology at the rank of Assistant Professor, commencing July 1, 2021, subject to final budgetary approval.

Candidates for the position will hold a Ph.D. with expertise in Socio-Cultural Anthropology and will demonstrate a primary commitment to undergraduate teaching bolstered by an ongoing research program. Preferred candidates will have post-secondary teaching experience that provides evidence of excellence or clear promise of excellence in teaching, and they will demonstrate the ability to incorporate undergraduate students into their research program.

If successful, you will teach the equivalent of six courses per year, including junior and senior-level courses in Anthropology. You will also participate in curriculum and program development, work collaboratively to contribute service to the operation of the institution, and develop and maintain an active research program that looks to attract external research funding.
