Erdogan: “Those protecting the Old Testament, reveal rudeness towards the Koran”

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said those who decided to protect the Old Testament, reveal their rudeness towards the Koran, blasting the European countries for not preventing the burning of Muslim’s holy book.

“The guardian of the Koran is the Almighty Allah. They only reveal the flaws of their characters. Those who decide to protect the Torah [Old Testament], reveal their rudeness towards the Koran,” Erdogan said during an address by phone to his ruling AKP’s election event held in Amsterdam, Netherlands on Saturday, state-run Anadolu news agency reported.

Rasmus Paludan, the leader of the Danish far-right political party Stram Kurs (Hard Line) has burned copies of Koran in front of the Turkish Embassy and a mosque in Copenhagen, Denmark on Friday, replicating the same act he committed in Sweden’s capital Stockholm last weekend.

Turkey condemned the incidents in the strongest terms and blasted the Swedish and Danish governments for not preventing the demonstrations.
