Cumhurbaşkanı ve AK Parti Genel Başkanı Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, AK Parti Afyonkarahisar Mitinginde konuştu.

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan targeted the opposition’s presidential candidate Kemal Kilicdaroglu and accused him of being a puppet of imperialists, during a rally held in Afyonkarahisar.

“Mr. Kemal, how much money did you get from London? The Trojan Horse of the Imperialists. Mr. Kemal is trying to teach us a lesson in anti-imperialism in his usual disgusting style,” Erdoğan said.

Erdoğan’s rhetoric turned personal as he accused Kilicdaroglu of fleeing amidst tanks during the failed coup attempt in 2016, while he himself stood with the people.

“Mr. Kemal on the night of July 15 escaped from the tanks and went to the mayor’s house”, he said.

He also took credit for cutting off the imperialist’s taps and increasing the domestic production of defense industries. Erdogan highlighted the launch of TCG Anadolu, Turkey’s first domestically produced unmanned aerial vehicle carrier, which has been open for public viewing in Istanbul’s Sirkeci district.

“We turned off the taps of the imperialists by not allowing the interest lobbies to pass. We increased the rate of localization in the Defense Industry to 80 percent. We did. because they couldn’t,” Erdogan said.

Erdogan claimed that the opposition’s envy and bitterness were evident as they see the carrier’s success.

The President also took a swipe at DEVA Party leader Ali Babacan.

Erdogan referred to him as “bebecan,” a condescending tone indicative of his youth, and reminded the crowd of Babacan’s meetings with the IMF during his tenure as prime minister, accusing him of being incapable of managing the Turkish economy. Erdogan also claimed that Babacan had been on his side during the meeting but was now speaking ill of him.
