Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan strongly reacted to opposition’s presidential candidate Kemal Kilicdaroglu who recently accused Moscow of interfering in the elections in Turkey.

“It’s you who are behind fake videos, conspiracies, deep fake content, video cassettes that have recently emerged in this country,” Kilicdaroglu said in a video message yesterday and called on Moscow to “get their hands off Turkey.”

Speaking at his election campaign rally on Friday in Istanbul’s Sultangazi, Erdogan said:

“Mr. Kemal has now started molesting Russia. He claims Russia is swaying the elections in Turkey. Shame on you, shame on you! Shame! What if I say it’s America who’s swaying the elections in Turkey? What if I say it’s Germany, France, or England? What will you say about it?”

He added:

“You don’t know these people as much as I do. I know their souls. I’ve been meeting with them for 20 years. I’ve sat at the same table, talked with them several times in the past 20 years. And you? For God’s sake, how many times have you met with them? Do you even know them? Oh but he has so many lies to tell.”
